Dwight Mowry

EASTERN OREGON

Dwight D. Mowry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University and then completed his Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Psychology from Washington State University.  He briefly worked in a prescription drug treatment program before consulting with the Bureau of Substance Abuse in Idaho.  He worked briefly for a Mental Health Center in Boise, Idaho, he also helped to evaluate child abuse and neglect resource centers.  He next was employed as a Psychologist for a mental health center in Southwest Idaho and then transitioned into opening his own office as a Psychologist in Ontario, Oregon.  Over the years his services changed from primarily providing treatment for families, children, and adults to primarily providing evaluations for children and adults.  Often those evaluations were provided at the request of agencies in Idaho and Oregon and some evaluations occurred for Social Security.  Many evaluations were provided at the request of attorneys and at the request of the Courts in both Idaho and Oregon.  Dr. Mowry retired during September of 2014 but as of December of 2016 he continued to serve as President of the Eastern Oregon Psychological Association.​
